  1. I'm a Registered Nurse in the USA. I am not familiar with NVQ level/system.

I would highly recommend moving to a safe English speaking nation since you originate in England and speak the language. I would probably recommend Australia or Canada since the transition would be fairly easy. Parts of the USA are more Spanish speaking than English.

Do your research beforehand so you know what to expect. Health care professionals are needed the world over. Your skills should be appreciated wherever life takes you.

If at 51 you are not enjoying life, then change your environment and give yourself a greater challenge. It's up to you to find happiness.

  2. No,you're never too old and besides that,51 is not old!

  3. I doubt that you would want to try a different territory at your age, as I'm sure it would be difficult adjusting.

Besides, most of the EU is getting so much like England these days, and the wages must be similar, as is the language in certain areas.

You sound like a talented individual, and suggest you put yourself about a bit (within the industry that you are working), and get a job where you are appreciated and recompensed accordingly.

Failing which, send the old man out to work all the hours God sends.

  4. no regrets.
