I'm 5'5" and i weigh 100. On our squad there aren't any guys that base. (it's a pretty small cheer squad) but i can do a scorpion, bow and arrow, scale, heel stretch, stuff like that and full down. I was just wondering if at my tryout for basketball season i should try out to fly but idk if i would be too heavy. thx!!

  1. No not at all!! Most girls that fly are about 100 pounds and you are not too tall. I am 5'3" and 95 pounds and I fly. A couple other flyers on the team are probably over your weight and height and fly. Definetly practice with a bunch of different bases because you need to find the ones that are right for you. Some are not that strong and can only lift a girl like me. But that doesn't mean you are too heavy. Just work with girls that can work with you. That way, you will be the best flyer you can be.

    Hope I helped!!

  2.    This is all a foreign language to anyone outside the States.  Come to the UK (Beckham country).  Size no object.  You see a football, you kick it towards the other goal.  If you are still running after 20 minutes, you get in the Premier League and name your own wages.

  3. I don't think that you would be too tall or too heavy, I'm about the same size maybe a little smaller but I fly on my team.  It sounds like you are a good flier, which makes me think you know how to "hold your weight" so I think you should definetely try out as one.

What grade are you in?  If you are in high school that is right around how big a lot of fliers on my team are and others that we see, if you are in middle school you might be a little on the taller/heavier side but probably still could id you just got the more experianced or stronger bases/back.

    good luck this year!
