  1. deifnitely not too old, or too fat. i just started a year ago and ive slimmed right out and have become so much more flexible and ive found out that its basicly what im good at. and you have an adavantage if you have done it before. good luck and have fun!

  2. well the bmi calculator says your obese

if you want to become a pro then i think that unless you take lessons 3-5 times a week, then yeah your too old.

just do your best and see a ballet teacher and see what she says becuase i don't think you should trust anyone here.

  3. Ballet is a really good workout, so you could loose some weight if you do it.  I'm 13 and I'm starting ballet, and I know people who are 40 and having their first ballet class.  Weight has nothing to do with ballet.  Just work your hardest, listen to the corrections your teacher gives you, and have fun even if some stupid girls make fun of you.

  4. nobody is too fat to do anything!

but i would recommend checking your BMI (Body Mass Index) online

just type in bmi calculator on google and follow the instructions

you sound kinda like you MAY have a little too much body fat

but your only 15 and still gowing:)

  5. You are definitely not too old or too fat to restart ballet! There may be some things that would be easier if you weighed less, but if you're willing to work for it, nothing should stop you from developing good technique.

The key thing to remember is that good dancing is built on strength relative to size. If a skinny dancer has no strength, their movements will look heavy and dead. The fact that they're skinny won't help them at all. If a chubby dancer is strong, their dancing can actually appear lighter and more graceful than their size would suggest.

It's all up to you. If you want it badly enough, you can do it!

  6. you are NOT too fat to do ballet!! if anything, ballet will really help you lose weight. ps-do not let ANYONE tell you that you are 'too fat' to do ballet-its not true!!

  7. GO FOR IT GIRL!!!! you are not fat at all. once you start you'll start to tone up and you'll feel better and better about being in a leo and tights. (not to mention lose some weight). just stretch alot and avoid running. it'll strengthen you in where you'd rather not be too storng (the tops of your thighs will get too strong and wont let your inner thighs work. which won't let you use your turn out.) trust me. i have this problem. i love hurdles and the 1600.

well good luck. and find a good dance studio so you're not throwing your money away.

oh! wait!! stretch your hamstrings, calves, inner thighs, and butt so you can move more smoothly. if you put the ball of your feet on top of a stair and let your weight drop into your heels, you'll get a wonderful stretch in your calves. to stretch your hamstrings stand one foot out infront of you (but flat on the floor and about three feet away) and bend down, trying to lay your body on your leg. then push your opposite hip out a little. you should feel a much bigger stretch in  the back of your legs. if not move around a little in the stretch and once you find it, stay there. for an inner thigh stretch, lay on back with your butt against a wall and your feet in the air. then open your legs up like you're doing the middle splits. it'll urt but take deep breathes and it'll go away. and to stretch your butt, stand infront of something about hip high and put your leg on top of it. then bend your knee to the side and turn your leg out. then lean back into your hips and feel the stretch!! haha. good luck. you can message me back if you have any more questions. i'd LOVE to help!!

  8. yeah u are ~!~

  9. No Way! If you want to do ballet you go for it girl! I'm thirteen and I am doing it...I have only been taking for about a year and I've already moved up like...5 levels (in my ballet school that is a lot!) I Love how I feel once I've done a performance well and I hope you can get those same feelings! Enjoy yourself! Ballet isn't something to stress about. It is an art form! Have fun while your there, and it'll make your time worthwhile! I hope you have tons of fun, no matter what you choose. Remember..."Reach, and you just might grab your highest aspiration!" Its never too late to start up again! I hope this helped influence your discision!

  10. there is no such thing as "too fat" to do anything.  Good, genuine, honest people will accept and appreciate you for your talent not size.  If you're the fattest ballet dancer, AND the most talented, good people will support and appreciate you, which is all that matters.  Don't let the I3@$T@RD$ get you down.

  11. of course not. Nonbody  is TOO fat to not be able to ballet. Be yourself and if u like ballet then go for it.

  12. I have the same problem and i weight less i weight  165 pounds but i wanna dance in my church i got the part and i'm gonna dance and do what i wanna do.

  13. i dont think you're too fat to do ballet because it doesn't matter how much you weight to do ballet or any other things as long as you feel comfortable doing it and even if you are, you can encourage other people to go out there and do what they like to do

  14. well not fat exactly but yes, u have a couple of pounds extra

but u can surely do ballet ........... and since uve done it when u were young, its not at all gonna be a problem. also ur age is fine . no need to worry

once u start ballet , ure gonna be back in shape ...!!

  16. idk you gotta have good balance

  17. your bmi says you're obese but im pretty fat and do ballet and its helped me stay in shape, and its really good for you, dancers always live longer.

  18. No of course not! I am in ballet and im 14. My friend is almost 20 and she just started 2 do ballet. I dont think you can ever be too old 2 do ballet! :D hope I helped...
