Am I too old for Build-A-Bears?

I'm 13. My mom always says that I'm "too old" for things like making a bear at build-a-bears. Lots of my friends still like build-a-bears, but my mom is another story altogether. Sometimes when I want to do more grown-up things, she says I'm still a kid. Help me!!! Oh ya... and I use my own money, not a penny from her hoard.

Yeah know what I'm 30 yrs old and darn it if you want to make a build a bear do it.  Your moms a goof.  I want to make one so bad, my 4 boys have each made 2 and it makes me a little jealous I want one so bad but spend my extra cash on my boys.  

tell ya what tell your mom that your making one no matter what and just tell her you'll be thinking of me a mom of 4 boys who cant do one for myself.  

as far as not being slim  ya know what my 10 yr old son gets picked on for being skinny but yet people pick on people for being bigger.  Don't worry about it  Life is to short to worry about what people care about.  People can be mean and there gonna find something to pick on you about if they know it will get to you.

I am 13 and went in Build-A-Bear 2 days ago. I love them and also have Webkinz. Just tell her that you are young once and that when you grow up you can never go back. she will understand. Hope i helped!!!

No I don't think your too old. I just think you mom is probably thinking that after a while your not going to want it and just store it.If you tell her you won't just put it in storage after a week she'll probably let you have it.

no way!!! im almost 13 and i love build a bears and dolls etc it just deppends on your personality its not that big of  a deal good luck!!

No. I do not think that you are too old for teddy bears. As long as you are using your own money to do this kind of stuff, why is she so controlling about going to Build-A-Bear. I mean, if it is something yo enjoy keep on doing it and ask your mother kindly to treat you as you are mature. If she doesn't let you make Build-A-Bears anymore, keep your cool. Yes I think u r too old 4 Build a Bear! I know u use ur own money and it's ur choice of how 2 spend it, but I would spend it on something more useful! At thirteen u need 2 start becoming more mature, growing out of things like plush toys and Barbie dolls!

As a teenager u should b more responsible, go out with ur friends, buy and read books(Twilight Series) or start going shopping 4 Back 2 School clothes!

If u r thinking that u'll have everything if u've got the guy or if u've got this or that, ur wrong! U can get carried away by peer pressure and more as a teenager! Stick with the people and friends who like u 4 who u r and don't criticize u!

The Lord rebukes false fufillments! U can't deny the one who created u and sent his son 2 die on the cross so we wouldn't have 2 carry the guilt of all our sins! The Lord is ur best friend and he loves u no matter what, so y not praise him 4 ur Eternal life! When u surrender urself 2 Christ he's the judge! He'll c if u've helped others find Christ and how u act around ur enemies!

You're never too old to play with anything. Having a teddy bear is completely normal. You are still 13. If you were 18 it would have been a shameful thing to have a teddy bear!! Even my grandmother thinks I'm a small child even though I'm 13. your mom still feels you're a small girl ,that's all. Just talk to her alone about this.

                        As for your slimness problem Even I'm thin and the center of jokes. It makes me mad too but U don't see me jumping from a roof do U?? U just have to bear it. If that does not work ignore them & show no reaction.Hope I helped you.
