I have always wanted to be a dancer but never did take any classes b/c my family could not afford it. Now I am 26 and can pay for it myself; however I think I may be too old for my dream now.

  1. You're not too old to dance ballet.  It's never too late to fulfill your dream or one of your dreams. You could just watch ballet shows, but you will never feel what it is like what they actually feel if you don't experience it yourself. I started at 25 when I had the opportunity to fulfill my dream of dancing ballet even, if I don't become a professional dancer. It's just so different when you are watching dance when you have done it yourself, believe me. I just had to work extra hard for the years that I have missed. I worked so hard on the basic everyday, that I got really good at it. For some basic is boring, but it's the essential, and what I teach other the most - learned it from one of my ballet teachers.

Do ever live your life with regrets. Do or don't without regrets.

  2. U are NOT to old for dancing. Maybe to old to be a pro, but NOT to old for dance. There r plenty of people who start at your age and are great.

  3. An honest answer?

I think that yes, you probably are too old to be a professional ballet dancer in the performing sense. Ballet dancers who make it into companies have usually trained rigourously from being children to achieve the desired levels of flexibility etc.

However, that does not mean you can't be a dancer. You're never too old to learn for fun. And you never know, you could make a living from it professionally eventually, as a teacher or choreographer.

And despite what I said at the beginning, never say never and anything's worth a shot...so look into it as much as you wish!

    Good luck!

*An additional note: have you heard of Zelda Fitzgerald? She was the wife of F. Scott Fitzgerald, author of The Great Gatsby? She became obsessed with ballet and started training as a performer at the age of 27! She was invited to join a ballet company some years later. 4. no one is ever to old to try something new. most dance studios offer night classes for adults, and they have beg- advanced classes. you can take university classes, but they tend o be expensive. sadly, there is not a high chance that you will become professional, but some adult classes offer performance opportunities.

  5. No u r not 2 old!

  6. Sorry- your to old for Professional ballet

Doing it as a hobby would be great for you though and plenty of people start at you're age and still get parts in small shows and you could still be good.

  7. No way.  I see adult dance classes, ballet included.  26 is still young.  Colleges offer beginning ballet.

  8. No way, there are many adult classes out there, its never too late.

  9. no

  10. NO ONE is ever too old for ballet. As long as you can walk about, age does not restrict dance! Good luck!

  11. Age has nothing to do with your dreams. If you think that you're too old then what will you tell your future kids when they reach your current age and they decide to achieve their dreams? Follow your dreams no matter how old you are. Having determination is one of the things you need to achieve your goals!

  12. i think that you are not too old for dancing and achieving your dreams look in to adult ballet classes and if this is your dream and you put time into it you can become big
