  1. no..

  2. NO NO NO IM 13 and iv only been skating for a year and i already have my axel and working on my doubles you can start any time but if you want to go to the olympics or worlds or anything like that your going to have to dedicate your self its a lot of hard work but it is do much fun!!!

  3. if u can still walk on your own then your not too old to ice skate! what a silly question.

  4. no but you might not be very good compairded to the other 13 year olds that skte with you....

  5. no not at all. Its never too late to start. If its something you enjoy..go for it!!

  6. NO!  I'm 13 and I'm in FS4.  I only skate one time a week becuase the rink is 90 miles away!  But I have seen 65 year old on ice that have just started learning stuff!  One thing to remember is that you need to fall.  When I first started skating I played a game with my self to not fall,  So Then when I needed to fall to learn new stuff, I was embarrassed falling!  So  couldn't do stuff right!  And the fastrer you skate the less it hurts to fall.  Good luck skating! Have fun!

P.S. If you when you buy your own skate, Don't buy Jackson!  They have a material that doesn't let you bend the way you need too.

  7. You're never too old to start figure skating. I know some figure skaters that started at 13 and a year later they are already starting to work on double jumps.

Johnny Weir didn't start skating until he was 12 , and he won silver in the Men's Nationals this past early year.

  8. In the learn to skate classes at my rink, the oldest person to start was 64.

    Your 13?!

As I am saying, your never to old to start, go for it!

  9. No. You can learn ice skating at any age.

  10. its never too late to start skating.

you dont really have a chance at being olympic champion though.

but you can still compete in lower levels! and dont let anyone tell you that lower levels means smaller competitions. there are tons of big competitions for lower level skaters. figure skating has so many benefits! sign up for group lessons at your rink. and once you learn the basics (starting jumps and spins), get private lessons with a coach and go on figure skating practice ice. (dont do it when you arent ready, you need to be able to move out of the way of other skaters)

    then you can start competing!

but of course, if you dont want to compete, you can skate recreationally.

either way, its really fun and a really good choice.
