  1. Your not too short, a nice sized starter bike for you would be a Honda rebel 250 cc.,its a small cruiser bike and weighs a little less than 300 lbs. I bought my very fist bike last year, it is a 1985 Honda rebel 250 cc, its low enough for any one who is petite and still be able to reach both feet firmly planted on he ground standing still. My best friend Nora is only five feet 3 inches tall and she has sat on my rebel and reaches the ground with no problem, the seat is low. making it comfortable to reach everything.

The body styling is that almost of a Harley, I like to call it my baby Harley, because of its style.

Go check one out at a local Honda dealership, they will let you sit on one,if you have your learners permit they will let you test drive it.

I never had any experience riding until my BF taught me, and I love it.

heres my little Bike with me standing by it.

here is a photo of a newer model rebel,

A perfect ladies bike especially for starters. And the best part is that the smaller engine bikes like the Rebel get at least 70 miles per gallon on gas.

    Good luck sweety!!!

BTW, I am  five feet six and a half inches tall, almost too tall , but still okay for now.

  2. No no no no no!

As said before, go have a look in several dealers and sit on them all and try them out.

It's worth remembering that most of the ability to maneuver a bike around (you shouldn't have any problems when you're moving) is technique and practice.

If all else fails - modify a cruiser to suit how you want it!

  3. Im 5'1" and I ride a 2005 Yamaha R6. Just bought lowering links to lower the bike a couple of inches.

I rode a 1992 CBR 600 without it being lowered

I rode a 1996 Yamaha FZR 400 without it being lowered

I rode a 1995 Kawasaki Ninja 250 without it being lowered

I rode a 1996 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R without it being lowered.

Whatever you want to ride, you can ride, no matter your height.

  4. you can get many bikes lowered . you can get cool trikes too.

  5. V Twin Mama maintains a site with information on motorcycles for short people such as your self. or they may have info on lowering.  Gennrally divided by Inseam length. Check it out.

  6. No, You can find a medium sised cruiser any brand you like and if its a little tall you can lower it in several ways. I have a 30 year old Harley FLH, I'm 5-11. I didn't need to lower it, I just wanted the look. I put 10 inch shocks on the rear replacing the 12 inch  ones, I also put 2 inch under front fork legs on it,It's a full sized Harley with saddle bags wndshield, etc.I bet you could ride it. You can lower any bike, if you like Hondas, etc. You can do the same some seats can reduce hight and still be comfortable Go to a dealer, find something you like and lower it if you need to I've seen women 5 fet or so on big Harleys and they ride fine. Youll find one you like and lower it if necessary Ride safely and most of all have fun!

  7. Check the Honda Rebel 250. Seat height is like 25 inches.

Of course, they also make lowering kits for just about any bike...

  8. There are all kind of bikes for everyone. Just go to motorcycle store and  try it. Good luck.

  9. Just like we say, go to the dealership and sit on a few. Find one your feet touch the floor while sitting. That's all there is to it. If you can't afford a new one at least you know what to look for.

  10. Kawasaki Vulcan 500

    Honda VLX 600

    Suzuki 650 Savage

My daughter commutes 24 miles on a 250cc Yamaha Virago on a 60 mph highway.

Ninjas and FJRs are not cruisers, by the way.
