Question:

Am I too short to go to standing concert?

I'm going to see Coldplay concert in my town, yaaaay, I'm so excited. I'm 5'2 (I know I'm short), and I will be standing throughout the concert. When I told this to my friend, she was like "whaaaaaaat? Do you wanna be stepped on and killed?"

Honestly, I will be going to this kind of concert for the first time (I used to go to classical concerts), and I don't have any clue how it's going to be like.

Will my height be a big problem to me? Any tips on how to not be stepped on?

Thanks :)

  1. If you're hot you can convince a guy to keep you on his shoulders. Then you would be taller than everybody else.

  2. Last year I went to a John Mayer concert with my friend and it was a standing concert. She's 4'11 and didn't have that hard of a time.

I, personally, am 5'5 and did just fine at the concert, so I think you should be okay. Can't say for sure though...I've heard about those wild mosh pits at Coldplay concerts. Scary stuff. (just kidding.)

Hope you have a great time!

  3. No, you will be perfectly fine.

    Good luck.

  4. it's true that people have no sense of personal space at a concert, don't be afraid of using your elbows - your height is actually an advantage as you can easily work your way to the front. If you do get stepped on or pushed around - just say something to the person doing it - they probably don't realise - if you get pushed forwards by people, lean back into them, you don't want to get crushed

  5. You're taller than me, and I'm a guy.
