Am I turning into Stato? Ok, I was bored and thinking about the CL and who really has the easier draw.?

So I totaled the official UEFA coefficients for all the seeds group stage opponents and then deducted the seeded teams own coefficient. The lower the number the better the chances - ON PAPER. The results were:

Chelsea 22

R Madrid 35

Inter 36

Man Utd 46

Barcelona 51

Arsenal 56

Liverpool 72

Lyon 93

I think Group A is the easier due to the fact that Chelsea, Bordeaux, and Roma have been guaranteed 6 points before the competition even starts. This is because, with all due respects, the remaining team in the group, some Romanian team whose name I can't even bother to remember will surely be the whipping boys of the group. Not only this team will be the points collection center, but it will be also used by the other teams to score as many goals as they could (maybe as many as 8 per match) to gain the goal difference advantage in the group.

I don't think there's any other group which has a weak whipping boy club such as Group A and thus, group A would be easier. Everyone is happy, they would either qualify to the next round, or at the worst case, being thrown out into UEFA Cup, in which if one of these teams ends up in the UEFA Cup, they will be having a great chance to win the cup/

Thus, assuming that UEFA Cup demotion is also in the picture, group A will be the easiest one among all. Besides, even if UEFA Cup demotion is also considered a failure, it is almost certain that CHelsea and Roma are the ones who will qualify for the next round with Bordeaux missing out perhaps only because of one unlucky defeat or even because of goal difference because Bordeaux is not able to score enough goals in their match with the whipping boys Romanian Club and thus they are out.

That's what I thought about this issue as well as my prediction for Group A.
