Am I using have and has correctly?

Is it He better "have" a good show or is it He better "has" a good show.

Its so confusing I thought with "he" you're supposed to use "has" not "have".

  1. is have....

    have is future tense..

    has had... past tense

    having is present tense.

    for example.

I will have a good time tonight.

She has had a good time.

I am having a good time.

  2.      Paulluck's quite right.  "He better HAVE a good show."

    Good luck

    Mike B

  3. "He better have a good show" is a shortened form of

"He (had) better have a good show" (colloquial) or

"He (would do) better (to) have a good show".

"Has" is present tense, and this usage is not present indicative, but rather conditional mood with a projection toward the future (the show has not happened yet).

  4. He better have a good show.
