Am I weird for finding this disgusting?

when I stayed at my friend's house by the lake for 2 weeks her and her dad were always farting in front of me every day. I mean, they'd say excuse me, but it sort of made me uncomfortable. to them it was like sneezing or coughing. would most people find this disgusting? because I dunno, I was kind of in shock, I don't know if that makes me a snob or not... I hope not.

Some families just feel comfortable doing it around others. I personally don't mind if a friend of mine does it in front of me, just as long as I knew the person well enough and felt comfortable around. Like shrek says, better out than in! lol

Buy a portable air freshener, or any other air freshener aerosol can of your preferred scent. When they do their disgusting thing just spray the air freshener near them. If they get mad or something tell them straight the bad odor disturbs you.

that was disgusting , i agree with you they should be embarrassed not you . if i were you and they did that passing gas you should leave the room and tell your friend you think its bad manners to do that in front of you

That is kinda disgusting, especially if you are not used to that type of behavior.  Maybe they are comfortable with that in their family, and didnt think about how you would feel about it.  Maybe next time you can mention to your friend how it bothers you and you never know they could change and not do it in front of you anymore.

That is kind of disgusting but at least they said excuse me. However, if they were kind after the third or fourth f**t they should have said "I'm sorry I'm gonna try and walk this off, see you in 15 mins" or something, it is rude to just keep doing it and not do anything about it.

I have a friend who does that.  She burps and farts whenever, wherever.  I think it's disgusting.  At least your friend and her dad excused themselves.  She never did, and sometimes tried to make it seem like someone else did it.  We just went on a trip together for a couple of days and it was embarrassing to be around her.

It is pretty rude.  If they are comfortable with that in their family, then fine...but they shouldn't be so open about it in front of other people.  I would be uncomfortable too.
