Am I weird to feel this way? Have you ever felt this way?

Well I just graduated high school this past June 2008. Well it feel weird and awkward knowing I'm not starting school in a few days and that my sister is going to be a freshman going back to school. It also feels the same way when I'm with my mom & sister when they get stuff for her for school. It feels weird because just about my whole life I've been used to getting new stuff for school this time of the year and also being excited to start school in a few days as well this time of the year. It kind of depresses me knowing I'm done. I mean I hate the work, waking up early, and mean people in school but I however loved seeing my friends in school and learning new things. Most of my friends are still in school just thought I'd throw that out. I wish I was going back to school but I'm not. It just feels weird and awkward....

Nothing weird about feeling that way..its sad knowing that you may never see some of the people that you're used to seeing everyday again. I know I hated goin to school too, but when it was over it was hard to let that part of my life go.

Your feelings are perfectly normal.  This is probably the first fall that you can remember when you didn't go to school!

You've obviously decided not to go to college this year.  But if you enjoyed school and hate your job, you may want to reconsider.  I don't know if there are any four year colleges near you, but I bet you could still enroll in a community college or technical school.   Take some general education classes.  Explore some of your interests. FInd out what you might like better than your current job.  

It will be different from high school, but you will still meet people, make friends, and maybe even have extracurricular activities to join. Maybe you could work part time and go to school part time so it's not such an expensive undertaking.  

You sound like someone who would be a good student. Think about it.  It's not too late.

Why don't you go to college?  There are people who never leave college.. it's called being a Professional Student and you basically live off of grants and scholarships.

Well sorry to say this but its a part of growing up.  You may not have to be done with school though. Why not go to college.  It is way better than high school and it opens up so many oportunities. It gives you a chance to make life long friends and you still get to do all the school stuff except you are in control now.  Think about it.

You just have senioritis. I was a pretty popular kid in high school (I was involved in everything), but even after that I had more fun, and had 'true' friends in college. You should definitely go to college. You will have much more fun and secure your future at the same time.

Nah, I've never felt this way... I've still got a year left to go and I'm starting school with everyone I know, so no, but it's not weird that you feel this way either.

I'd probably go visit them on the first day of school if I wasn't starting with them.  You should do that.  Go in to school with them and visit your friends. Lol. They'd probably like that.
