Question:

Am I wrong in thinking this? Or is it me being too Judgmental?

My good friend has recently (last week) burried her estranged husband who she has a 3 yr old son with. I felt so sorry for that little fella... Any how, now that he is dead his brother has come home to help organise his funeral and sort things out and now she is shagging him.

I cannot believe that she would do this. I see it as wrong.

And if that was my mum I would be disgusted in her, doing the wrong thing by my dad.

Come on, the man isnt cold yet and she in the sack with his brother.

Too Jerry Springer for me, specially if this turns into something and she has a child, then her sons will be cousins..... eiew

Does anyone else think this way or am I being too harsh?

Please dont thumb me on this, I would just like to see what others think of this situation.

Cheers

  1. wynter is right..be there for your friends child..it takes 2 to tango and its wrong for either of them to be together...fair enough move on with your life but thats to quick and to close to home...her deceased husband would be turning in his grave id say..if it was me id be haunting em

  2. People do all sorts of things that they would not normally do in times of distress. I'm not sure that sleeping with her brother-in-law is a good choice, especially since it could cause other issues within the family.

However, she is the one who will have to live the consequences of her actions. If you can, try to be a friend to her child. He's the one who could be hurt the most.

  3. As I see it, she isn't hurting anyone. Her husband is dead, and since they were estranged, and they were probably having relationships on the side anyway, I don't think she has to maintain some sort of grieving period.

Her kid is too young to judge his mother, and he will probably grow up to see this state of things as natural, and won't be hurt by it. And if their kids will be his cousins instead of his step-brothers... well, so what?

I know this situation is a little "Hamlet", but don't be quick to judge a woman who is going through a difficult time and probably feels the need for a man's warmth and support right now.

  4. I agree her behavior is despicable.

She probably always had an interest in his brother and now has the opportunity to act on it. Gross.
