I'm so confused, cause the PS3 is supposed to last 6 more years, but it's hardware will be antique by that time,I mean it's old now,let alone more 6 years?it will be rotten tomatoes, thus I'm very confused, and look at this table,it shows the PS3's hardware compared to today's hardware: 1-the cell cpu:PS3's cell cpu is 3.2GHZ and have 8 SPUs,today's cell cpu is 4.7GHZ and have 10 or 9 SPUs,not 8 SPUs like the PS3's cell cpu 2-the PS3's GPU:the modified 7800GTX and I think it's even the 6800ultra,not the modified 7800GTX,todays 8800GTX GPUs is twice more powerful as the PS3's 7800GTX GPU,IF it is not the 6800ultra 3-HD RES.-PS3's max RES. is 1080p,today's HD TVs can display at 2160p 4-the cell was 5GHZ in some PS3s,now it's max is 3.2GHZ,Sony downgraded it because of little overheating issues, but I think they have downgraded it very much,5GHZ to 3.2GHZ only?I think they have made the PS3 alot less powerful, and also before the PS3's release, the cell was supposed to have 9 SPUs,then they made it 8 SPUs only, making the PS3 much less powerful 5-PS3's blu-ray drive:I doubt it can read the 100 and 200GB blu-rays,and the HVD disks was announced that can hold 1TB,also mempile announced that they have created a 1TB teradisk now, have something to say?or do you doubt Me?or any of my information is wrong?if it is wrong then tell Me why?

  1. Everyone is tired of all your questions about graphics cards and cell processors. You asked far too many times this month. Now, get over the fact that the PS3 has had, has, and will always have a 3.2GHZ Cell Broadband Engine. It was never 5GHZ. You never stop worrying about memory space, cell processors, graphics cards, etc. Just shut up already!

  2. That's true. Maybe they don't need to come out with the ps4. They can probably make new systems that have updated hardware. They can also update some of the hardware by releasing updates.

I actually heard that the ps4 wasn't coming out anywhere from 2012-2018.

  3. Old..?The PS3 hasn't been out all that long.

  4. you again, man your rambling continues to make you look like a complete idiot.

keep it up your doing a wonderful job at it.

  5. Progression rate of technology doubles every few years (Moore's law), so yeah, even the most high-end, advanced gadget you can possibly buy is going to be outdone by superior technology in a matter of MONTHS. So don't even worry about having the LATEST, it's a pointless, exhausting obsession. For now the PS3 is still the most advanced console on the market and will remain so for quite a while, at least until the PS4 comes out, which I am sure will be one sweetass piece of tech; so DON'T WORRY.

  6. d**n.Wow.

    A TeraByte High Definition  disk.

    Actually it's cause it's a gaming system.

And you can look at the stats the ps3 is the most powerful gaming system.

Very true the ps3 in a few years will be nothing.

And anyway the 1080p is still high definition isn't it.

The Human race makes a break  in technology every year

  7. It won't be antique because it's gaming console, not a desktop or notebook. Why would you say this when the wii has some of the lowest technology. The best is probably the motion sensor. I think you make these pointless questions on for attention. Even the 360s' technology is lower than the ps3's. It's the best you'll get today on a video game console, and the best you'll need for quite a while. Your completley making up stuff. 2680p hardly even exists yet, and nobody would even have a televison like that for quite a while. 100gb blu-ray discs will be going commercial for ps3 sometime in the near future and they are already at work on 200gb. It isn't even logical to complain about this. Video game systems have been like this for a long time, they aren't constantly upgraded like a cpu. And there also isn't as many companies that even create them as there used to be back in the 80's. The main focus is constantly updating software capabilities, and just making very minor hardware modifications throught the course of the system's lifespan.

  8. most of that tech stuff is wrong, the ps3 is teh optimum machine and it will be on market for 10 more years, it will be second to the ps4 in 2013

  9. Not sure about the Tech stuff, but PS4's will be out before to long proberbly around Christmas 2010....

  10. the new 160gb ps3 model is coming out in a few weeks for only $500. its also gonna include the game uncharted and a keybad that connects to ur controller.

  11. ps4s wont come out till 2011 or 2013

  12. the ps3 will be on the market for another 10 years sonys ps3 has so much advanced technology that game developers have a hard time making games for it cuz the technology is so advanced, the micro chips in the ps3 are also used for super computers and super computers are the most powerful computers. look the ps2 is still on the market and was released 8 years ago.

  13. the PS4 will come out within a few years but not in 2010 it will come out somewhere in in the 2015 since SONY still has plans for the PS3 unlike the crapbox360 they will come out with a crapbox720 somewhere in the year 2010

  14. Every one is tired of your questions but I'll answer in a desperate attempt to shut you up.

The ps3 is VERY advanced, its the most advanced game console out right now.

If the ps3 was how you explained, it would cost at least $5000, not at all practical.

There wasn't a 5GHZ cell at the time the ps3 was developed, there was NEVER a 5GHZ cell in ANY ps3's at ANY time.

You act like 3.2GHZ is slow, well newsflash, even by today's standards 3.2GHZ is pretty d**n fast.

Today's HDTV's can only display up to 1080p, a 2160p tv would be insanely expensive, on top of that, NONE ARE EVEN OUT YET!!!!!!!!!!

Again, THERE WAS NEVER A 5GHZ CELL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...

The roadrunner, the fastest computer in the world only uses a 4GHZ version of Cell.

The original ps3's were susposed to use 8 spe's, not 9, it was downgraded to 7 spe's, they did this because in the manufacturing process about 90% of the Cell's came out defective, by making it only 7spe's one of the spe's could be defective and it would still work

    A HVD is 3.9TB not 1 TB

ONE HVD cost's approximately $150 to manufacture, were looking at $200 per game!

Yes, ALL of your info is either wrong or completely impractical.
