when i traced my ancestry on my maternal line it only showed african no europeans why is that

Uhmmmmm, Kwame.........If it shows no european, then probably it's because, ohhhhhh, you don't have ANY european people on her side.......The question is why did you think that there SHOULD be a european bloodline on your mom's side..................

What do you mean by "traced your ancestry"??  did you use records, or have dna testing?  The easiest fact (if you used good research) is that it is, exactly what it says.  DNA will show her background, and broadly where they come from.

Other records can be in error. Obviously, if you are getting confused with genealogy of other persons (like Morgan Freeman), then you don't have any idea of how to search for your own family.
