Am feeling depressed

i have been feeling like S**t for most of my days rite now and i dont relly care about anything anymore i used to care about people but now i dont care if they die i mean i used to try and hang out with the girl i liked but every time they shoot me down i dont know what to do know and everyone calls me an emo which is moslty true cuz i dont relly care or feel pain as much as i used to....... plz no idoitic answers ty

    it's good being yourself, BUT , change it up man, you know the best things in life are free.  nature.  go hiking, biking, get involved with your surroundings.  volunteer, red cross. green peace, africa.  you don't have to change as a person,  but do something.

  3. You should talk to someone like your parents or someone that can really help you. At least you care enough about yourself to realize that you have been getting depressed lately. Sometimes when i'm depressed...i just sit outside and stare up at the sky and think about the other people..and how they wish they were me. best of luck.

  4. well im in the marine corps.

    lol and everyday in iraq i felt depresse. sometime i just didnt even care if i got blown up or shot at or anything.

    i went months without shower, days without sleep,

    but when i got back home i realize how everything i had i took for granted, example car, tv, phone, friends, mall, family, pets, and not necessarly in that order.

    my point is maybe you need to take a breather and as corny as it sounds man go for a walk, exercise(that will make you feel great)

    hang with the fam, play with your pet if you have any, if you dont i suggest u get a dog.

    maybe you need to get new friends, maybe ur current friends are negative, maybe you just need a vacation.

    anyways bro dont give up shake it off.

  5. you might want to see medical assistance. They can give you something mild that can get you back on track.

    to answer your question, this may or may not be a mild case of depression but only a professional should answer that for you after a medical assessment

  7. hi hun i know what you are going through i have been going through depression ever since i was 7 years old and now i am 24 and i will tell you the best thing you can do is to think posiitve get your spirits back up.go do something you have been wanting to do.you could always go to the doctor and have them put you on meds.but i know the only way to get you out of this state of mind is for you to start thinking posiitve.you should try to talk to someone close to you that you trust hun.hun i have been there and done that and this is the only way you can bring yourself back up!!

One of the symptoms of depression is a reduction in feeling/caring /interest in things that one used to care about.  A common coping technique to emotional pain and rejection is to reject others first before they can reject you.  Reading "between the lines" of your question it seems that there is a lot of pain there. You really didn't ask a question, so I'm gonna guess what you might have wanted to ask.  "What do I do now ?"   You can continue to withdraw from people and be isolated in your pain.... or you can take a chance and reach out to someone.  Reach out to someone to talk to, to have a friend - be a friend to someone. What do you have to lose at this point ?  Are you in a rush to be totally isolated ?   Gather your courage and reach out.

  13. man honestly,... no offense to you and all, but you dont know what hard times are. you getting so down over a girl you wanna hang out with? come on. look at whats going on in the world, starving kids and families, death murder destruction, kids gettin their faces blown off, and you here  talking about pain, son you dont know pain.

I believe most, if not all, people have been through a similar situation in life.  At times I become apathetic and unfeeling as well, especially when other people are negative towards me.  It is just natural not to truly care for anyone else--it's every man for himself in this world.  It's cliche, I know, but you have to surround yourself with the positive things in life.  Even if you feel there is nothing positive left in the world, you have to look harder.  Remember that there is always someone who cares.

  18. avoid the people who shoot you down...  sometimes people fear you will out grow them, and they'll be discarded, like trash, so they feel the need to hold you down.  If you like the girl, go for her.  If she rejects you, move on.  there are about 6 billion ppl on the planet, dont waste your time with the ones who arent interested in whats best for you.

  21. maybe a therapist? so you can talk about your problems and someone will listen. butt since you dont care about ppl why would you take the time to do that? things may seem worthless and boring but

    find meaning in things, find meaning in the things you used to like. and tell your self why would i want to live with out that. its corney but the truth to see the good things in life and live for it. live for yourself live to see what you want first, then youll be able to have the confidence and pide in yourself to want to share those things with friends. and youll see that finding the meaning was worth it.

  23. You are thinking too much. Really. The more you analyze upseting feelings, the more upset you will get. Yeah so things are not working out for you. It happens. It happens to all of us. We have bad times in life. You just need to get up. you being depressed won't make the problems go away or make you happy or even make peope like/hate you.

    Do the follwing:

    1) Take a nice long relaxing shower. Takes the stress away.

    2) Groom yourself. (Shave you facial hair, get a clean haircut, trim your nails, w.e.)

    3) Put on clean clothes.

    .....[sounds weird, but really makes you relaxed]..

    4) Take a nice walk. Alone OR call up a friend.

    ........[get your thoughts straight. think about what you want to do this summer, what you want to do in school, etc etc]

    5) Get with your friends and just don't let anything get to you. Afterall you should be relaxed at this point.

    You can also try to see if you can get a job. Keeps you busy and you make friends. And play sports. Exercising releases serotonin (hormone) which makes you happy.

  25. It's okay to feel that way. It's...life, i guess. Anyway. I always say that music is thecure.You can lose yourself in the beats and chords. And sometimes you just me you time for the world. Hey world! Get off my shoulders! (Lol) Music saves lifes. So find a band or singer that you like and smile. That makes you want to get up and do the world. I would suggest My Chemical Romance. They are so postive and helpful. They music is beautiful and so id the meaning.  I would suggest listening to Famous Last Words. It tells you to life your live and enjoy it. I've seen music help many people many times. We live so shortly to not be happy always. They have helped alot of people. To get out of depression you have to change your mind set. You have to look at the good that the world is going to give. Don't stare at the bad. Depression is said to be anger without emthusism, so find something that you care about. Get your feelings back. Even if you aren't happy, always smile. It will grow on you and soon you will start to think happily. Also, find something that makes you physically cry. Like a song, a movie, or whatever, Crying makes you feel like a human being and you relieve so much stress by just shreading a few tears. The best are tears of joy. If you can make those, they are the best. You will feel better just talking to someone. I'm not saying someone proffessional but just someone like a friend, parent, or just someone. Find something that is going to make you laugh out loud and smile. Don't stop laughing, don't stop smiling, and keep listening to music. If you only get one thing out of what i am saying then let it be that. You'll find yourself again.

  26. Sounds like you have depression. I would try talking to a therapist about things.  He/she will help you figure out why you are like that and what you can do to change things.  He/she may recommend an antidepressant.  I have been taking an antidepressant for over 3 years now, most really do help and you ll def notice a difference. hope that helps

    this may sound pathetic but do talk to someone about it. it will make you feel better. you can also call teenline or something.

    i'd say count the great things you have in your life and be thankful your alive and have shelter/food. listen to some music. get your mind off it.
