I think they are open....just don't expect an audience with the Pope first thing, he likes to open his eggs early

Far from it - it will be very busy - especially in st peters square on sunday morning when the pope does his easter sunday address. Enjoy!

They are open, just because it's weekend and Easter and lots of tourist will go to visit them. Don't worry!

All the Italian monuments and sites will be open for the Easter week-end and much of them will be gratis.
