Am i a legal immigant...?

well i read a book about an illegal immigrant (like she applied for visiting visa but overstayed her allowed time) and was wondering if i was legal...

we moved from england and have a social security number, went through the process and stuff, have a greencard and permanent residency card, but we're not citizens

well with all that am i a legal immigrant or illegal?

(my parents probably know but still)

I think you are legal also... but invest a few dollars and call someone who deals with immigration matters and ask them.  Cross your t's and dot the i's.

You are a legal permanent resident.  All is well.  :D  (Green card and permanent residency card are the same thing...it's an indefinite/permanent immigration visa.  You can stay forever without ever becoming a citizen if you want...as long as you follow the laws and renew when needed.)
