Am i able to claim Disibility living allowance with rhabdmoyolyosis?

hi there am 21 year old studet who is off work sick part time. i have been diagnosed with a condition called rhabdomylyosis. since february i have been i and out of hospital. I get pain in my lowers limbs all the time. And if i walk for more than an hour then ill get pain in my legs which would last days and i would remain in bed untill my legs get better. The docotors have doe a biopsy and still havent found nothing from it. Therefore would i be eligble to claim disibility living allowance ???

  1. Depends. If you can walk 1 hour then spend 3 days in bed you can be classed as 'virtually unable to walk' by the DWP, however, they are likely to disallow you as they will focus on the 1 hour bit and forget 'pay back' for this. Go see your local CAB to get free assistance with the form

    I would say apply as it is likely you will get the mobility component (there are not any details here taht can demonstrate the care component), but unfortunately I think it is likely tou will have to take it all the way to an appeal tribunal
