Am i addicted to the computer?

I spend up to three hours a day on a computer.

When you spend 3 hours a day gaming, not wanting to talk to somebody while gaming, no time to eat or drink, throwing things when you loose a game, YES  YOU ARE ADDICTED.

When you, like me are answering 3 hours a day questions on Yahoo Answers, you may not be addicted to the pc, but perhaps addicted to Yahoo Answers.

3 hours is child's play.  I spend the majority of every day on the computer much to the chagrin of my fiancee, but hey I've got a fiancee despite my time devotion to the computer.  I am a computer science major though, so that excuses me a bit.  I can see no harm in spending 3 or so hours a day at a computer.  When you start working, it'll jump to at least 5.

usually when my mom gets home from work( 4 oclock) i get on the computer till about 2 oclock am

Just 3 hrs per day!! Then what you call a person who sits whole day in front of the computer???

Its ok.But have to go out sometime atleast and have a walk. Thats important. Your case cannot be called as an addiction.

considering its summer time, i would say not just because people get bored and need stuff to do, I can go for about 5-6 hours a day but thats not all i do. Now during the school year, or work, or whatever it is for you if your still on the computer 3 hours a day, i would suggest not doing so but to finally answer your question. If a parent on someone tells you to get off the computer while your doing something, games, stuff, etc and at that time you either dont get off or yell and fight to not get off....you may be approaching addiction but its still hard to say
