  1. You can drive their car if you don't live in their house and it's full coverage But if they don't want you to drive their car and use that an excuse. they need to get a back bone and say that. get yourself a job earn some money and show them you can buy a car and insurance. good luck

  2. Typical situation you have like many other people, therefor,be patient and check out the resource here i found useful.http://car-insurance.easyideas4u.info/ca...

  3. Legally, you cannot drive their car if your name is not on their policy.

  4. yes u would get in trouble...

  5. It's not as simple as yes or no. In Pa, where I live, my insurance company requires that children who are licensed drivers, who are part of the household, be listed on the insurance.  Insurance is on the car, but, since insurance is calculated by several factors, including the driver's age and record, who is likely to be driving a car matters. For instance, we have two vehicles, a mini van and a sedan. I'm the primary driver on the van, my hubby is primary on the car and my teen son is"part-time" on secondary on the sedan, but NOT on the van. However, he's covered if he drives my van. You can be added, at an additional cost, to your parents' policy (an increase you would, of course, pay since you're an adult!) or you can but a car and a. have that car added to your parents' policy with you as primary driver, or b. get your own policy.  But you, alone, cannot get insurance that isn't somehow connected to a car. Your parents' insurance company might cover you if something happened - then again, if they thought/suspected/just decided that your parents had deliberately kept you off the policy to save money, they might not. Insurance is on the car, not on you. They need to check with their agent. They could already have a problem from assuming, and it could cost them more than money. Offer to pay the difference in cost between you not on the policy, and you on it. Costs are covered, all are legal, and nobody's butt is in a proverbial sling.

  6. insurance co. will hike up the cost of your parents insurance, with another driver in the house. id do my best not to get caught by the insurance co. before you are on the policy. i wouldnt drive it, they can drop their policy for you not being on it!
