Am i allowed to take more than 1 club into a bunker or hazard?

if im in a bunker and not sure which club to use, can i take 2 or 3 and lay others sand while i play, is it the same in a water hazard

  1. you can take your bag into the bunker . but the heads cannot touch the sand . 2 strokes . loss of hole . take 3 irons in . place outside trap . no penalty .


  2. You are not to touch any part of the hazard with your club.  Even during your back swing.  So if you are not sure which club to use, take more than one club, but set them down on the grass before you go into the hazard.  If you need to change, you don't have to walk far.

  3. No you cant take extra clubs into a sand bunker because you are not allowed to touch any part of a golf club to the sand until the down swing so taking two clubs in with you would probably result in a 2 stroke penalty.  Now if you take more than one club and set it on the grass outside of the sand then you would be fine.
