I am supposed to travel to Africa on the 23rd but due to some unpleasant circumstances i might not be able to travel. Will British Airways allow me to transfer to a week later or to December. Anybody had a similar situation and was it easy to transfer.

  1. you will have to pay and admin fee and that will be high if you take the June date. try for December and see how much they charge.

  2. Depending on the circumstances BA may allow you to change your flight FOC. More likely they will charge a small administration fee plus any increase in airfare and fuel charges. If you have holiday insurance your policy may cover you but that depends on the Company and obviously the cover.

  3. I changed my flight with British Airways yesterday - it cost two hundred and thirty pounds - seventy five pounds each to change the ticket ( there are two of us going) and additional money due to taxes.  Had to pay otherwise would have lost all our money.  The ticket is valid for one year from the date of buying it

  4. This depends on the fare that you paid, some fares allow you to change, others allow change for a fee and some don't allow you to change at all. Best to phone and ask .
