i would have to drive to the train station, take the train for an hour, then walk 30 min to work from there, or take a bus.

a) my back hurts

b) i am exhausted

c) i have two other projects i work on from home and need the time

it was a decent job with a lot of potential...but i felt that the opportunity cost was way too high.

  1. if the job sucked then no. but if you enjoyed it then it's worth it

  2. You could have relocated.

  3. Sometimes quality of life is more important than becoming a slave to potential. You probably have a lot more potential being healthy, happy and working on the projects that you enjoy.

    Good luck!

  4. I don't blame you! There are a lot of work from home opportunities. Jump on them!

Do something you enjoy, close by. You will do much better at work that way.

  5. life is too short to not have time to enjoy it.

can you afford not having this job-

if you find you can not-maybe you can find something closer.

    good luck

  6. No, you made the right choice.  It's not worth it to sacrifice your health and happiness for more money.  What's the point of money if you're too exhausted to enjoy it?

  7. No, the one thing I hate about my job is the commute and it's not near as bad as yours. I can never tell how long it will take me to get to work in the morning due to traffic. It's taken me anywhere from 25 minutes to an hour and a half. I hate the stress and driving in the heavy traffic.

If I could find another job I'd do it in an instant!!!

  8. I agree with you. Maybe you can find opportunities closer to home.

  9. money is not the only factor.   you are right to not be enslaved by money.
