Im 14 years old and i will be travelling alone from new york to rome to sofia. On the way there it is american airlines and bulgaria air and on the way back it is malev airlines

yup. your parents will have to contact the airline ahead of time and make sure they know you are coming so they can find you an escort.

Amercan Airlines requires you to be accompanied unless over the age of 15.  There are special requirements for international flights.  See site below. Your parents  need to CALL EACH airline and make special arrangements for you ahead of time or you may not be allowed to board the plane.
