Am i bleeding because of stopped birth control or because i am pregnant?

when i last took birth control i was on it for almost 4 years then i stopped suddenly and a week later i got pregnant right away. i did not bleed at all. after i had my son i have been back on birth control for almost 2 years. i want to get pregnant very soon...like really want to be pregnant...so i stopped my birth control about a week before i got to the week of my period. and started trying to get pregnant. i started bleeding very lightly only 3 days after i stopped my bc. it came and went off and on for about 2 days. then i just kept bleeding like it was a period. i tried again to get pregnant the day i started bleeding, but before it happened. am i bleeding because i stopped my birth control or am i pregnant? and did having s*x start my bleeding?

If you're bleeding that heavily, then it's probably you stopping the birth control. If you were pregnant, you wouldn't bleed that much.

sometimes s*x will hurry it along and sometimes it will help it to slow down it depends on your body. if you stop trying you will have a better chance of getting. good luck!

sounds like you started your period the s*x could have hurried it along.....i hope this helps

When you get of birth control it takes time for your hormones to get back normal and sometimes you bleed irregularly because of that.

when I went off birth control I had erratic bleeding for almost a month before everything went back to normal.

ok...even though you got pregnant right away with your first doesn't mean you will get pregnant right away with your second. AND, you always will bleed when you stop taking birth control..it doesn't mean your pregnant. When you stop taking bc it really takes a while for your hormones and every thing to become normal again. You might not have  a regular period for a couple months. so just take it easy...and don't stress your self out so much!
