Am i charged when i sign(in/out) into mobile device?

when i singout from yahoo messanger}, im signed into mobile device and starts receiving alerts stating who are avilable and their msgs.am i charged for it

Depends on your carrier.  Does it say bites transferred?  Usually your charged according to how many bites you download.

yes all carriers charge you b/c you have to log on to the internet. unless u have a data package of some sort.
