  1. It's a pretty rare occurance, but even infrequent things happen sometimes.

Good Friday is a floating holiday, so there is nothing that uncommon about that.  The other two things rarely occur on the same day.

  2. I don't know about these things..but  I know that Easter is on March 23rd which is the earliest it's been since  1913 (which someone else mentioned on here) I'm not sure what determines the day Easter comes on...but I think it has to do with the things you're talking about. They said it won't happen again for a long time. I'll see if I still have the link for it...we were just talking about it on here on a question (or maybe it was another section)

This is not the part I was looking for ..but maybe it will help.

The rules for determining the date of Easter are:

Easter falls on the first Sunday following the first full moon that occurs on or after the day of the vernal equinox; the vernal equinox is fixed as March 21. There are some highly technical rules for determining the actual date of the full moon, but when you take all this into account the result is that Easter can never occur before March 22 or later than April 25.

Edit...Hope this isn't too long. The link would have been too long.

        * This year Easter is on March 23, 2008 for Western Christianity, only one day later than the earliest it can ever be in Western churches (March 22).

        * The last time Easter fell on March 23 in Western Christianity was the year 1913, 95 years ago. Therefore, only a few of us were actually alive then to celebrate Easter.

        * The next time Easter will fall on March 23 in Western Christianity is 2160, 152 years from now. It's doubtful any Western Christians will still be around to celebrate Easter again on March 23.

        * Even more remarkable, no one alive today has ever, or ever will celebrate Easter earlier than March 23. The last time Easter fell on March 22 was in 1818, and the next time will be in 2285.

  3. Yeah, imaqt-pi has given you a completely erroneous response.  He're something a bit more reasonable.

Chances that the full moon falls on the 21st 1/30.  Chances that that day will fall on a Friday 1/7.  Therefore, there is a 1/210 chance that the full moon will fall on the 21st and a Friday.

The last time it happened was 1913.  The next time it will happen is 2228.  I'm sure there have been longer gaps and shorter gaps throughout history.

  4. Approximately once every 30 years.

  5. It is happening and it is exciting.  Will something life changing happen because of it, eh, I doubt it.  But its neat.  I wish I could celebrate it this year, but I've got an investigation that night.  But here's hoping its a good day/night.

  6. first of all the full moon happens every 28 days, not 30.

second,  they are unconnected events being linked together, I am sure I could find three events on any given day of the year that seem like crazy coincidences. There is no meaning in it, except that Jesus was prosecuted and killed. Then he bled water, and rose from the dead. Then one of his appostles stuck his finger into the wound in his side.... but thats getting into Easter.

  7. if there 1 full moon per 30 days or 1/30

and there is one spring equinox every year 1/365

then there is a 1/11000 chance

then to figure out if it would land on a friday would be 1/52

so the chances are ::   1/572,000 fridays-full moon- spring equinox or 1 in every 1567 years

  8. Yes! Yes! Yes!  How very kewl that is too.  I have no idea of the sequence that happening occurs...but it has to be a pretty rare thing. :-)

  9. well yes.

  10. Yes, indeed you are.
