  1. What you're basically asking is probably the most common question from people with depression: "How can I get help without asking for help?"

And the answer is, you can't.

You need to talk to someone about how you feel. The teen years are rough, but feeling suicidal is NOT a normal hormonal thing for you to be feeling. And you need to take action right now to help yourself get better.

Talk to your parents, or a counselor, or a close friend. Talk to SOMEONE. Because, as I'm sure you know, there is nothing more miserable than being depressed and alone. There is also nothing less necessary. You don't need to suffer alone. So don't let yourself.

  2. Most all schools have guidance counselors and that would be a good place to start IF you are sure you can't talk to your parents. Have you even approached your parents about this issue, to at least give them a chance?

The extent of what you describe it may be more than hormonal, but as a teenager you know it's possible. I've always said my teenage years were the most stressful and demanding.

I would take a risk and at least give your parents a chance. From there there are lots of other places to go. Do you talk to friends about these feelings?  You mentioned suicide-do you have a plan. Good Luck Reggie

  3. On my first day of my freshman year in highschool, my English teacher was introducing himself and his policies. About half an hour into it he askes, rather bluntly "Who here has ever thought about suicide?" Of course nobody raised thier hand, to which he replied "Nobody likes to own up to it, but it is a quite common thing to think about especially at this age. I just wanted to let you all know that you're not alone, and if these thoughts of suicide do turn into the desire to end your own life, you can talk to any adult in this building and they will help you."

Now, at 14, suicide was somethign that did pop into my mind quite often, so it is normal. But if these thoughts do turn into the desire to end your life, then you shold consult somebody. It doesn't need to be a parent, it could be a teacher or a friend, just talking about it sometimes helps.

It is a very confusing time in your life, so it is really easy to be confused and depressed. Just take one day at a time and talk to somebody about it, becuase my teacher was right, you're not alone. You never are.

  4. please go talk to a school councillor or your local gp as it is important that you do not try to deal with this alone ,it may be mild depression a hormonal imbalance as you say but you need advice so act soon to overcome this problem
