my children were put in to care last april. a social worker was getting a lot of quistions from all .about the way my kids were taken. this went on for about a year then it went to court. but the social worker dealing with my children either left her job or was sacked just before the the case i asked social serrvices where was the social worker who took my kids went but they told me it was confidential not entiltled to know why she has left it seemed like a big cover up for this social worker . this happened about a month before court and was assigned another social worker who knew nothing and there for my children have been made a ward of court which im still fighting for justice now

  1. If this social worker "leaving" has to do with your case, I think you should know.

  2. why a worker leaves a job is really of no concern to anyone.  She could have went on sick leave or maternity leave or any number of things but that doesn't mean you have the right to find out.

If your children were made wards of the courts then the evidence speaks for itself and it doesn't matter what worker takes on the case.  The judge obviously agreed with the agency that your children were at risk of harm if placed in your care.  Where was your lawyer in all of this?  Did you do the work that was asked of you to try to get your kids back? There is so much you aren't telling us here but i can assure you children are not made wards of the court or taken into care without serious evidence against you.

ADD: don't think i am being mean i have personal knowledge of this sort of thing with my own kids.  I had one child taken into care because a worker wanted to adopt her cause she couldn't have children, but it was ok for me to keep my other children.  I won't go into details here but i know the court systems very well and how they work.

  3. couldn't have said it better than wishmaster.  one thing i think she forgot to include was whether or not YOU were in court that day.

  4. Sorry but this just does not ring true. No single Social Worker can remove your children. Various reports and assessments are made and these are then submitted to a Court. A Court then considers the evidence before them and they then decided if they should make a child a ward of Court. The decision to make a child a ward of Court is a major decision and it is not taken lightly, that is probably why it took so long before it was done.

Even if you had a "rouge" Social Worker there are checks and balances in place, not least wise a Court of Law where you have a right to have representation. Are you sure there is not more to this than you have explained?

All of that said what matters in your case is the welfare of the children, what happened to the individual Social Worker is irrelevant.

  5. no you are not entitled to know the reason why this social worker has left. Do u know if she has left though?

They should atleast tell you that!

    shocking

hope things work out for u

  6. Of course you're not entitled to know what happened to a social worker.  There is such a thing as a right to privacy!  I think you're looking for a scape goat for your own flaws.  What have you been doing for almost a YEAR since your children were taken???  If I were in your case, I would have been working with a lawyer and a social worker every day to get my kids back.  Apparently this was not what you were doing.  Besides, you a judge doesn't issue a decision based on a statement from a social worker who wasn't even present in court, or the second hand knowledge of the one who was.  Do your work, clean up you life, and stop trying to blame other people.  Blaming others is a sure way to have your kids raised in foster care.

As to those who say that judges rubber stamp things, you're the ones who are nuts.  Have you ever TRIED to get children removed from a home?  It is darn near impossible, even when the children are in danger for their lives.  Judges are family preservationists to their very core.  It has cost more than one child his/her life.

  7. Morally, I think you should have a right to know why the woman who managed your case has left.  Legally, I have no idea if you are actually entitled to that knowledge.  I hope you talk to a legal counselor and are able to find out your rights.  Good luck.

  8. Unfortunately, the system is to blame for the crappy social worker that they employed so, no, you do not have the right to know what happened to them.

Keep fighting, though...this needs to be brought to as many people's attention as possible.  Sorry you have to deal with this.

  9. the system is ******...look at the public school system, any drug a kid might want to experiment with. same with almost any goverment run program. medicare... scamed by crime rings .... sorry this isnt the forum......good luck pay  big for a good lawyer is all i can say.

  10. Privacy laws should prevent this type of information sharing, I would think.  However, your legal representative should be able to find out for sure.

It seems odd to me that your children were made wards of the sate only because a social worker did not know what happened that day.  There must still be some information somewhere that indicates a need for removal of the children.  Even if it is not accurate, there needs to be some type of documentation indicating the reason they were removed.  I would recommend contacting an attorney or legal aid representative if you feel your children were removed for no valid reason and see if they can help.  Or if there was a valid reason for their removal, concentrate on fixing your own life so that you can retain your parenting responsibilities.

  11. There is no cover up you don't have the right to know what happened.  She could of gone to another job gone on sick leave or yes she could of been fired.  That has nothing to do with  your case though

  12. Other people had good information. I agree with some, not with others.  All told, you need a better lawyer.

BTW, the argument that no single social worker would have complete influence on the decision is so out of touch with reality it nearly makes me barf. Many judges rubber stamp whatever the social worker says.  Get real people.
