Am i entitled to benifits?

i have never claimed before, i have been un employed since march, i have a job but cant start working or getting paid for 9-10 weeks. i live with parents and have no kids.

Pop down to your local job centre and ask them or try citizens advice

You can claim Job Seekers Allowance, but unless you pay rent to your parents, then that's all your eligible for.

I wouldnt of thought you can if you have a job and also since you're living with your parents, you should of got a jobseekers allowance when you were jobless. Whats the reason you cant work for 9-10 weeks?

Yes you can. Go and make a claim to JSA for the remaining 10 weeks until your job starts

The Jobcentre may ask you to keep looking for something in the meantime and officially you WILL be, but they never penalize people in this situation for actually managing to get work.
