  1. it sounds like braxton hicks to me. your body is getting ready for labor.

    good luck! congrats!

  2. Yeah!

If they are just coming and going and not consistent, it may be braxton hicks. You want to go in if they are closer to 5 mins. apart and a bloody show.  Braxton Hicks go away.  Labor stays!

    Sounds like you're close though!

    Good luck.

  3. sounds like it but because you are late on in your pg it might be good idea to see your midwife if the pain gets worse you could be in slow labour

  4. It could be, but it could also be something else.  When my sister was born, she was a week late, and the umbilical cord was wrapped around her neck.  My mom had been having contractions for a week, and they thought it was Braxton Hicks.  My mom's doctor finally took an ultrasound and saw what was going on.  The human body is amazing!  It saved my sister's life.  My mom's body had been holding off labor because it was dangerous.  My sister was delivered by c-section and she was perfectly healthy!  She is eight now, but if the doctor hadn't discovered what was going on, she might have died at birth.  It is probably fine, but I think you should see your doctor, just in case.  GOOD LUCK and CONGRATULATIONS!

  5. I'm sorry, but I did not quite understand whenyou said you were 39+2 weeks.  But I did want to say...if you are feeling sharp pain by your bikini line it could mean that your baby is either pushing down if you are 39 weeks or if you are in your first trimester the uterus is growing and you are feeling those pains due to the uterus moving up.  Hope that helps.  braxion hicks do not necessarily hurt.

  6. Sounds like it to me!  When they are getting to be "real" contractions you will feel it in you whole tummy and they won't stop...no matter what you do.  Best of  luck...you are almost done!
