Am i getting scammed? this guy wanted to buy some computer ram from another state for 70$ and he send a check

for 2,599 and a email that said this "Nice to read from you again and thanks for the info and

  1. They sent (or, is it 'send') you a check for $2599, when they only owed you $70???)  This surely looks legitimate to me!!

    Sending you a check for $2599, when he owed your $70.

    Asking you to deposit the check and in the time window where your bank credits your account, but before they discover the check is bad, he wants you to withdraw your money and send it back to him (he's not a shipper, but he figures you might send money to one, so he says he is).  After the check bounces, your bank wants the $2529 back FROM YOU.

    Of course the check looks legit.  This is why people fall for it.  In all likelihood the check is one that was stolen from a real business.
