  1. Yes you are. Peavy has a much more favorable home park, and pitches against worse competition. If he can stay healthy he will be a better player this year.

  2. Yes.......Right now Peavy is a better pitch. Santana will be good down the road when he figures out National League hitting

  3. Yes you are giving up too much.

See if you can get another player with Santana.

  4. No you're not

Johan Santana is a second half pitcher having a good first half! Why does everyone think he's having a bad season? He has a sub 3 ERA and 3rd in the NL in Ks! Goodness that's really good.

Jake Peavy had that elbow thing and that really scares me because he's had those problems before. Pedroia is doing well but he really only contributes in runs as he doesn't hit for power, run for speed or hit .325. Plus Johan is a prolific second half pitcher.

I would do this and know you got the best player in the deal. Definitely do this.

  5. The fact of the matter is that you are trading away more value than you are receiving, but that does not mean it isn't a good trade for you, if you need better pitching and you are able to sacrifice a good hitter than by all means make the trade

  6. That trade sounds pretty straight up to me, I would make the offer as long as you have a strong back up option to fill the hole Pedroia will leave.
