Am i going to have to go to grade 9 again?

hey guys my family and i ofcourse went on a a6 month vacation starting beginning of nov to may so now my queestion is am i going to have to take grade nine again this year or will they let me go on 10 and get me to get the 9 credits some other way like summer? or will they just not allow me?

there is no way u can make up those credits as many courses like math, languages are sequential - even with doing summer school for the rest of yr high school tiem  - . u will have to do those credits over.

Honestly, your taking 9th grade again is up to the school system.  However, your parents could have done things to ensure that you wouldn't have to.  Did your parents do any course work with you?  Did they get permission from the school system to home school you?  Did they let anyone in the school system know where you would be and what you would be doing?  If the answer is "no" to any of these question then why SHOULD the school let you be a 10th grader?  You have COMPLETED none of the 9th grade material!  Sept. to Nov. is hardly 180 school days!

Technically, depending on where you are from, your parents broke the law, but that's a whole other issue...  

Finally, why don't you contact someone at the school.  They'd be able to give you a better idea of what your options, if there are any, are. You mentioned going to summer school.  I know in my system summer school is over so that wouldn't even be an option.  

My advice is to call the school sooner, rather than later so you can get yourself organized.

If you didn't complete your 9th grade year, you cannot go into 10th grade.
