My teacher as had me trotting over polls, and then she had me do it in a half seat position. Does this mean she is going to let me jump fences soon? I haven't started to canter yet if that helps. They are very thorough, i have been working on post trotting since lat august!!!!!

  2. I think he meant about the rope meaning No your going to need one

    Never mind him

I feel you really need to get your canter down first

you can trot fences for ever But until you start to canter you will never be able to jump much higher

    so I would say no

Get the canter down first it goes all with jumping

  3. No,,,, if in doubt          ask them Your trainers

  4. I dont know how often you ride, but my instructor had me go through those same steps- and i had once-a-week lessons, so it took me a couple months after starting cantering to do even any small jumps. It takes a lot of practice- but work hard and you'll get there :)

  5. I'm sorry, when I first saw this I was going to say, "don't forget the rope."

Honey, your teacher want to see just how badly you want it.  If you believe in yourself, your confidence will show and your teacher will let you jump those fences.

  6. No way

If you have not even cantered yet no way

have you ridden with out stirrups ?

    Just wait time will come

But you MUST BE A WELL BALANCED RIDER FIRST o.k.
