Am i gonna get fired after the holiday season???

Question

today i went to apply for a job at gamestop and after i turned in the application, the manager told me this, "We are gonna start hiring on october for the holiday season." but I'm worried that what she meant was that after christmas is over, their gonna fire me. is this what she meant or will i be able to keep my job if I'm hired? thank guys

People who are hired for the holiday season are generally let go after the first of the year.

Well, they wouldn't fire you...they would either lay you off or strictly hire you from the start for a predetermined length of time.  Or, if you do a great job and they still need to keep you on, they will.

They aren't hiring for quite awhile....why don't you go after a job that is coming along sooner.
