Am i in a shell if im always listenin to my ipod?

i just moved to a new place and there aint **** t do around here. Im looking for a job and i got a car but no license since my dui. im hard headed since i dont listen to people and all i want to know is it worng to cut off the world when it seems like the world is cuttin u out?

cutting out the world sometimes is fine.

but not all the time.

try to get used to your surroundings, then you won't need to cut out the world all the time.

Yes. How do you know there is nothing to do in this new place if you don't get your head out of your ipod & get into life. Life is what you make of it...

Tuning out is never a solution.  You just look like you don't give a d**n, which never leaves anyone with a good impression.

Try to unplug yourself---maybe you'll actually learn something and---oh, I don't know----meet someone who is nice to you.  People who are "plugged in" are largely ignored by others---so even if you don't realize that you are in a shell, you actually are.  No one will give you the time of day.

There are times to have the headset on and there are times that it is inappropriate.  You shouldn't have them on in public.  Employers will not take kindly to them.  Leave them at home when you go to an interview.
