Am i leaking tranny fluid or transfer case fluid

Question

i have a 81 ford bronco and it leakes fluid from the back of the transmission but its also leaking from the pan and its also 4 wheel drive so the leak on the back is it the transmission or the transfer case leaking

Climb under and see> tighten all the bolts try some stopleak> can't hurt anything>

Is it possible that your front spider gear might be out or the fluid in the front axle could be low?  On the pumpkin, there's a bolt that comes out and you can check you frontend fluid there.

it sounds like the rear seal on your tranny is bad, along with the gasket on your tranny pan.  The pan is an easy fix, just buy a new but the rear seal on the tranny is more expensive since a tranny shop will have to do it.
