Am i looking after him ok?

Question

i have a large golf ball sized apple snail in my tropical tank

the temp is 24c

every 2 days i take him out of the tank and put him on a wet plate and feed him (they are amphibious)

lettuce

apple

pea

and fish food

until he is full

he also scavenges for food in the tank

Sounds Great!! But apple snails will live longer in cooler waters. At 24 celcius he will last a little over a year, two at the max, lower the temp a little and he will live longer = ) Good job tho!! Best of luck Angel

Edit if you have no fish...bout 19 degrees celcius. no lower then 18 tho. Its amazing what a few degrees can do.

Oh for a name how bout speedy? I have a yellow one called sunny!! Hes only smallish tho, about the size of a 50 Aus cent peice!!
