Am i loosing alot of blood?

ive already asked some period questions today but oh well

im having a hard time with my period, its heavy and ive only just started

i feel it when im walking or stand up

everytime i go to the bathroom theres loads of blood when i wipe

am i loosing too much blood

i dont eat much meat either, more vegetarian food

how can i get more iron and am i loosing alot of blood???

please answer

  1. You're more likely to bleed heavier on the first 2-3 days than toward the end of your cycle, so don't worry too much.  As long as you don't feel like you're going to pass out (faint) and you're not going through a heavy-duty (super) pad every 45-60 minutes (and I mean SOAKING it), then you're fine.

    When you urinate, the blood that's already on your labia is being diluted by the urine, so it's going to look like a lot more blood that it probably actually is.

    Try eating more dark, leafy greens, and be sure to take a multivitamin that contains an iron supplement.  If you're REALLY concerned, or any of the problems I addressed previously manifest, then DO see your doctor.


  2. Take iron vitamins.   Any brand will do.  Even a children's one like Flintstones.  Take one a day.    It will replace what you lose while on your period.
