I'm a 17 year old kid. I'm about to be a senior in high school, but yet i haven't really had a lot of fun. I work alot, i'm worried about SAT's and ACT's and i don't hang out with friends alot because my parents have such a tight grip on me and they hate it when(if) i stay out passed nine. I've never gotten drunk or had a girlfriend. How much am i missing out??

  1. im the same age. your missing out on the experimenting, alcohol, drugs, exploring your sexuality, and yourself in a relationship. truth of it is, you always get caught with booze or dope somehow, with s*x your always terrified of pregnancy at this age, and relationship, in highschool dont last forever. they are amazing, but i just got dumped a week ago after a year, its a pain no one ever wants to feel. I would have to say its 50/50. On the brightside, you could go far away to college, and make up for all this lost time

  2. oh boy! thats really missing out in my opinion. im 15. about to be a sophmore in high school. my mom is super protective too. but i have gotten drunk plenty of times. gotten high plenty of times. and have had 5 boyfriends. i think you have set some great goals for yourself tho. honestly yes partying is very fun. but its not gonna get you newhere in life...

  3. I'm 22 and never done any of that stuff.......

yeah I kinda feel like i'm missing out on life...

  4. i dont no but remeber this grades or everything in life

  5. You are missing out a lot.

Just loosen up a bit, and let things work themselves out. Eventually you"ll realize that you can have  lot of fun while also keeping up with school.

  6. A lot. But cheer up! just hang out more. p**s yer parents off its naturual teenage behavior!

    Goodluck bro!!!!!!!

  7. yeah..i feel about the same way buddy. but im only going to be a sophmore so i have time to redeem myself. i guess just make sure you do really good this last year and go buck wild in college. thats kinda my plan.

  8. highschool sucks.

  9. ... I wouldn't know because you've described my life, except I'm a junior.

  10. You're definitely missing out--on crud! Who needs that when there are so many interesting things to do and learn? Getting drunk?? You've got to be nuts to think that's fun! It's revolting! And, by the way, girls are not attracted to drunken bums. You'll have a girlfriend when you're ready, and before that only come potential disasters.

But you do need to have fun. It's great fun to work with others on a goal that's outside yourself. Get in a group (scouts, church, interest group) where you can let off steam and enjoy yourself with others. But don't join the immature brats who only want to party & think that's fun. It's a dead-end street.

  11. I wouldn't know, because I'm a freshman.

  12. too much! i feel soo sorry for you! you should definately try to enjoy your last year of high school! its the only one youve got! just make some close buds, talk to your parents, and just go out and have fun! maybe try having a house party to stir things up and fill in for all that you have missed! best of luck on your senior year! :)

  13. you should really make time for your friends but it seems like if your pissing your parents off alot by staying out past nine then you do go hang out with your friends. getting drunk and partying is what most high school kids do but if your friends arent in that crowd seriously don't stress it. and honestly stay without a gf for as long as you can the hassles and heart ache of relationships arent worth it. life really becomes alot more complicated then it is now. when you finally get one and you all go through stuff you'll understand what i'm talking about. there are just so many more aspects to life that a relationship can make you aware of and you don't want to find them out. trust me just stay single!!!!!!
