Am i moving into something bad and dangerous?

i am going up to visit my ex's city. he wants to still be friends but idk. he keeps throwing the girl he left me for in my face and says they are moving into together. though she is still a secret and nobody knows she exsists let alone the two of them are together. he though shows me off proudly to all his friends. i am moving up to his city and my job offer is next mon. so i will be spending the weekend up there. he told me he wants to find me a home to move to. and he is the only one i have told about my price range and wanting a roommate. well i got offered a better job only prob they wanted me to start immediately and he freaked kept asking if the job was legit and then texted oh it is going to be right next to where i will be staying... at in ?... she lives in ? i got him back though i texted him asking about sports up there cause my male roommate wants to know. i do have one that wants to move up there with me. he freaked and demanded to know who it is. i didn't tell and we haven't talked to each other for a week. he just texted asking if i am still moving up there and he is calling me this weekend. i also just got an email from one of his friends saying she found me a female roommate for my price range and in the area he wants me to live at!!!! its one of his church friends too!
