  1. Yes, you are!  Put down the bible/TV remote and read some Foucault!

  2. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. There are some who refuse to accept that, and that's where we get politicians!

  3. It's not about morality or being small minded. I think that if two men or women want to enter into a union and be seen in the same sense as marriage that is fine but marriage is scared between a husband and wife. It should stay the same as it is.

Call their union something else besides marriage.

  4. Everyone has the right to their opinions, but it is close minded to assume that everyone should share your opinion.  If you do not believe in same s*x marriage, then don't marry someone of the same s*x.  In this country, we are supposed to have a separation of church and state, so forbidding people from the benefits of a civil marriage based on a religious principle is not fair.  If they are not hurting you or affecting you, I think you should live and let live.   There are plenty of people that don't believe in interracial marriage either, but it is discriminatory to ban people from committing to the person they love regardless of race, handicap or gender.  If a church does not want to perform a ceremony because it is against its doctrine, than they should have that right, but the state should not decide if two people can commit to eachother or not.

  5. YES

  6. You are entitled to believe what you wish, that's the beauty of being a human and having free will.

However, what it ultimately boils down to is that if you deny homosexuals the right of marriage, that is like telling black people to sit on the back of the bus. It is -not fair- in the views of a generalized (religious, secular, homosexual, heterosexual) society. It would insinuate that you believe your own, individual personal beliefs outweigh the right of one person who loves another to marry. It's oppression.

  7. Yes, if a g*y man wants to marry a donkey that's his homo right.

  8. If you are than I am too! I don't call it narrow-mindedness, I call it having morals!

  9. You are narrow-minded in believing that your way is the only way it should be.  Who are you or the government to tell someone who they can love?  What if it were turned around, if the g**s became the majority and banned straight marriage?  How does it hurt you or anyone else for g**s to have the right to marry?  It doesn't affect you.  What two consenting adults choose to do in private is no one's business but their own.  Spout off whatever religious mumbo-jumbo you want, but we still have freedom of religion, which includes the freedom to NOT be involved in religion, or to be held to its rules.  It should not be anyone's right to tell someone else that they cannot be together.

  10. Yeah you are.

  11. well.. i am guessing it is from cultural or religious beliefs. i do not think you are narrow minded, i just think a lot of people are socialized from a very young age in their culture and religious background, that that is all they know. however, life is about opening your mind and heart. i am a christian and my family is anti g**s/g*y marriage, but i think that everyone has the right to marry the person that they love. it's also a RIGHTS issue. straight people can use their marriages for tax purposes and other things, while domestic partnerships usually do not gain or have perks from the government.
