  1. Hahaha no.

    You are a pleb.

    :p

  2. So? There was a Duke called Robert Carr. Does that mean I'm a Duke, just because I share the last name?

    Think about it.

  3. Doubt it! But you could be related to Hitler's henchman, Hermann Göring!

    HILE HITLER!

  4. where the h**l is nowhich? iv never heard of it. sign up for that show 'so you think your royal'...they will help you out.

  5. Most people (around the wold) are in fact related to royalty in some way, in theory we are also all related within 23 degrees, prime example being that my husband of three years (found this out after) and I are like 8th cousin's once removed. Another example is a girl I was best friend's with in grade school ended up being my fourth or fifth cousin. It's possible. It doesn't necessarily make you royalty or nobility BUT it is kind of neat anyways.

Note: A lot of president's are descended from nobility also.

  6. Honey, if you were noble you would have a title.  However, if you have noble ancestors, that does not make you noble.  Sorry.

  7. I imagine you are probably related to English nobility or royalty especially if you have a common last name.

Consider the text on the Royal Family website:

"Her Majesty is 38th in direct line of descent from Egbert (c. 775-839), King of Wessex from 802 and of England 827 to 839."

So Elizabeth has 2 parents (1st line), 4 grandparents (2nd line),...etc. By the time you go back 38 generations, Elizabeth has  274,877,906,944 ancestors in that generation. But there was probably less than a million people alive in England at the time. So the same person could easily show up in the tree in ten thousand different places.

It is possible that Elizabeth is not only descended from Egbert, but nearly every person in England who was alive at the time of Egbert. Of course, you exclude people  whose line died out.

Probably most of the people who have some English blood fit in Egbert's family tree somewhere. If not Egbert, certainly one of the other monarchs. After 38 generations the tree is huge .

Relationship to nobility does not make you noble. But since so many people want to be able to trace themselves to nobility, there is an industry that will try and do it for you.

  8. You need to have your genealogy studied by a professional service, especially one like Burke's Peerage, which specializes in the aristocracy.
