  1. Age has little do do with it. I think the maturity of the person and experience is the best qualities!

  2. i started babysitting when i was 12. I definitely think that you are old enough...just make sure you don't watch any scary movies while the kids are sleeping and you are alone in a strange house..

  3. I started babysitting when I was 13.  Mostly for family and close friends of the family, people who already know you.  Soon it will be word of mouth and friends of theirs might ask you to babysit.  My advise is just play with the kids and do what the parents ask you to do.

  4. Yeah, probably old enough.  But if you need tips, you probably don't know what you are doing.

  5. Take a babysitting course. And yes you are of legal age to babysit

  6. EXPERIENCE IS GOOD, BUT CAN YOU HANDLE A DIRE SITUATION IF YOU HAD TO, ALL ALONE? SAY THE CHILD IS CHOKING, DO YOU KNOW WHAT TO DO? IF YOU HAVE NOT BEEN TRAINED IN  CPR OR FIRST AID , I WOULD LIKE FOR YOU TO DO SO. I AM A PRESCHOOL TEACHER AND SAFETY FOR THE CHILDREN IS THE FIRST THING I LOOK FOR IN ANY CHILDCARE PROVIDER, NO MATTER HOW OLD THEY MAY BE. TAKE THE CLASSES THEY DON'T COST THAT MUCH AND YOU WILL FEEL GOOD FOR DOING SO. AND NO I FEEL IF YOU ARE TRAINED WELL AND HANDLE SITUATIONS YOU COULD WATCH MY CHILDREN AT 13. GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR JOB!

  7. by the time i was 13 i had experience also.  i would babysit my lil brother and sister who were 2 and 3 years old.  plus i had been helping my mom since they were younger.  so i know you probably know how to watch over them.  i guess it just depends who you would be watching.  if it's family and they feel comfortable leaving them with you then i dont see why not.  but it's a lot of responsibility, you never know when something will happen.  You need to know who to call or what to do in case of an emergency.

  8. How responsible are you, That would be a question a mother might ask, oh by  the way I am a mother and I don't think I would have a thirteen year old babysitting my children. Sorry hun.

  9. Babysitting is not a job that requires your social security number.

First of all, do you think you are mature and responsible to take care of these kids. If so, you should do it and possibly babysit your family friend's kids or ask around your neighborhood. You will get cash.

  10. Yes, you are old enough.

  11. depending on your maturity. I would suggest going to red cross training. Everyone would hire you then.
