Question:

Am i over-doing the sports?

im 15 and I swim year-round 5 days a week, softball in the summer (rec. so not that demanding) and volleyball from august to april (with practice 5 days a week for the school season (august to september) and during the club season (november to april) tournaments almost every weekend.)

  1. I think I'D have a blast if I was that active.  I don't think you're over-doing it, but if you don't like it then tone down on it a bit.

  3. Well you gotta know and only you can know. If you are having stress from all this cut down on it. Pick the top 3 or 2 things you want to do. think about your schedule and how you can make time for yourself and friends etc. I play on 3 softball teams my middle school team, 14u and 12u for softball. I have games almost everyday because of being on 3 basically travel teams. You will be a better athlete if you dont play 1 team or sport but you can hurt yourself if you play many

  4. Only you can answer that.  If you're enjoying yourself and have a good time and you're not hurting your body then I would say no.  But if you're becoming really stressed out and/or you're hurting your body then I'd say cut back a lil and see where that takes you.

  5. As long as the schedule is not interfering with school, then go for it. Also, start thinking about which sport(s) you would like to play in college. Maybe focus on those. You can play multiple sports, just make sure the seasons don't overlap.
