  2. Start with this idea. How do my clothes fit? Do I like these clothes and do I like how I look. Never mind the "147 lbs." Go for a walk (take a friend with you, so you'll feel safe) at least an hour a day. You will burn calories, share some laughs and then you can decide if you really want to lose weight or just stay healthy!

  3. You have a BMI of 26, which is overweight, but not by much. You could probably lose 20 lbs, putting you right in the middle of the normal range. just eat fruits, veggies, lean meat (turkey, chicken, lean steak), low-fat/non-fat dairy, complex carbs (100% whole wheat breads, whole-wheat pasta, brown rice, oatmeal, high-fiber cereal, quinoa), and mono-and poly- unsaturated fats (nuts, peanut butter, olive/canola oils, avocado, fish). avoid high-fat fried and processed foods, refined carbs, and junk food. don't skip meals and eat every 3-4 hours to keep your metabolism fired up. don't go lower than 1200 calories a day, and start exercising. to lose about a pound a week you could eat 200 less calories a day and burn off 300 through exercise like walking, jogging, swimming, bike riding, or any cardio machines at a gym.  

  4. It can depend a lot on your build. Body mass index or other things based entirely on height do not give a complete picture. If you're in really good shape, with lots of muscle, you may be heavier than someone that is the same height, but fat.

    A more important measure is your actual fitness level. How capable are you. Even if you're not over weight, you can still be out of shape.

    It's up to you to decide what you want.
