  1. No its real

  2. SCAM!!!

YOU SHOULD CALL POLICE AND MAKE A REPORT, THEY MAY BE ABLE TO TRACK THE MAIL AND PUT AND END TO IT

  3. I'd cash the check and keep the 4700

  4. It is definately a SCAM!!!!Anytime they want you to put up money to get your winnings it is...

  5. Yes, for more details go to www.snopes.com

The check is a bad check. You cash it and send them the money and then the check comes back as a bad check and the bank takes the money out of your account. So you are out the $2700 and you never get the $275,000

  6. Let's spell together S-C-A-M.

If it looks like a scama nd it smells like a scam, it's a scam.

Did you buy a lotto ticket? Since you didn't there is no way you could have won.

They may be asking for merely contact now but I guaratee you they will eventually ask for money. They're going to tell you you're thinking small that $2,000 to set up an account to transfer the funds or attorney fees is a drop in the bucket compared to your huge lotto win.

DO NOT SEND MONEY, DO NOT CONTACT THEM. Take this letter to the local FBI office. It's hard to prosecute these people but if we get together enough evidence maybe the country it came from will do something about it.

  7. yea itz a scam..but if ya dont beleive it thn deposit the check in your bank..let it clear thn pay the 2700 dollars...i bet ya the check will bounce...cheers

  8. big time scam iget loads of c**p like that discard of it!

if its a genuine cheque try and cash it see what happens!

  9. Total scam.  Never, ever pay money to claim money you've "won".  If you had really won $275,000, why couldn't they take their collection fees out of that amount?  Throw everything in the garbage, and never reveal any bank account numbers or your social security number to anyone you don't know and trust explicitly.

  10. It sounds like its a scam,i would call a number(if there is one) if its real there should be a number you can contact to find out all the information you need. That doesnt sound right that you have to give them back money.Just be careful!

  11. Scams usually require some sort f action before you recieve your prize or service. For example if u get an email from your credit card saying you need to update your information (soc. sec. #, address, pin#, etc.) before you'll be able to use your card again. Or in this case you need to send money to get money. It's definately a scam.

  12. It's a total scam. Keep the check! lol!

  13. scam

  14. Did you enter a lottery?

If the answer is no, it's a scam.

Also, any time you are asked for money to "claim a prize" that's illegal.  You almost always have to answer a skill testing question, but you cannot be compelled to spend money to claim a prize.

So it's a scam, pure and simple.  Play the provincial lottery, or if you want better odds, play raffles run by a school or local charity.

  15. Yes it is a scam, throw it away.

  16. Yep
