  1. YES

  2. I have piercings and tattoos and im not trying to make a statement .. I just like them

  3. Only younger people, as you get older you wear whatever your most comfortable in. But yes, you are right, most young people are under  peer pressure in order to "fit in" so if belly button jewlery or general piecing is in, then they get it done! Have a great day!

  4. not really.

people like me, err or just me.

try to just blend into the crowd and be as inconspicuous as possible.

some people try to make a statement and be noticed and work so hard at it, me and others included just sit back and let other people do the work

  5. Once you get to about 25 then all that stuff seems less important every year. Then it's more to keep warm and to have pockets to put things in.

I have found that the most way out looking people are usually insecure shallow and uninteresting once you actually talk to them. It's like they need to compensate for a lack of real substance.

Like the old proverb- "It is the empty vessel that makes the most noise".

Think about it in terms of musicians - the ones who need to create a massive image for themselves usually have very little in the way of musical skills or talent, while those who are the most accomplished usually look pretty much normal.

So i guess the reason that some people feel the need to make a big statement in the way they look is that they might not have that much else to offer.

  6. when i was a kid i wore what i wore cause it was what my brothers didnt wear out

  7. Yes, I would say you are right.  Even people who dress modestly are making a statement to other indicating that they prefer modesty.  I, for example, dress "clean cut"...i.e. slacks, polos, collared shirts, etc.  I don't like to stick out and attract attention to myself but i do like to look clean-cut and presentable, which is a statement in of itself, but perhaps not as much so as a female who dresses so little it leaves little to be desired...and body art, I think many of these people can only feel good about themselves by attracting attention to themselves or why else would they do it for the whole world to see? Good question.

  8. well if youve ever seen what not to wear on TLC,,, before they get the makeover the clothes they wear arent making a statement- if someone runs to mcdonalds in their pajamas or frumpy clothes- they are not trying to say to the world "i want to look like i just rolled out of bed everyday" --- maybe they usually dress in nice stuff? but i agree if they are wearing goth clothes or if they have tattoos/peircings! so to answer your question- you are kinda right it just really depends on who you are talking about! :-]

  9. No, it's called personal individuality. Most people generally don't have the flair or factor to create their very own dress or drag, body art and hair cut, to suit their personal individuality and copy or clone themselves with the people who do. Not realizing the look and drag only works and suits the person who'd created it using their charactor, personality and individuality and dosen't suit anyone else.

You can also answer yes to this question, due to the people who do look totally rediculious by cloning and wearing the dress, drag or the body art copied from someones personal individuality only as a, " Hey look at me, I want to be noticed" statement.

  10. In general yes... intelligent people just wear whatever is comfortable

  11. yes and no. i could care less what my clothes say to someone. i wear what i wear because its comfortablee. i wish i would trot around making a statment all day. just don't see it happening

  12. Of course...TOTALLY.  People wear certain things and do certain things to their appearance in hopes of making people think of them a certain way or trying to draw attention to themselves.  This is not necessarily true for everyone though.  But people who do outrageous things are usually trying very hard to be seen/perceived a certain way by others.  It's sad how many people are obviously trying too hard.

  13. I would say most people do.

  14. Not always. Some people just wear what they find comfortable and practical for them.

  15. Not always. Some people are poor and have to wear what they can find or they get from charity. As far as people who can afford to buy clothes, tattoo's, body piercing, etc then yes, they do have their own thing going on.

  16. Yeah, kind of.

But some people don't really care what others think.. for example, if I were to ever get a tattoo, I'd get it on the bottom of my left foot. No one would ever see it, and I wouldn't go around telling people that I had a tattoo on my foot. It would only matter to me. So I wouldn't be making a statement.

But in general, people do what they do and wear what they wear to make a statement.

  17. Mostly.  Not alway though. Some wear clothes to simply avoid being naked.

  18. yes I seen a girl today in a thong and her pants were low enough to where you could see it so she probally wanted to say "Hi I have a thong and I am a s**t for leting you see it while I take care of my kid.
